Savelaine Privacy Notice

Effective date: October 23, 2026
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Notice version: M124-PRIVACY-1.0

1. Who we are and what this Notice covers

SAVELAINE LLC ("Savelaine," "we," "our," or "us") operates savelaine.com. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain personal information in connection with our website, customer accounts, orders, reservations, subscriptions, deliveries, office-interest and location-suggestion forms, QR-code campaigns, tastings, customer support, and other interactions with Savelaine.

Privacy contact: hello@savelaine.com
Business and mailing address: SAVELAINE LLC, 1401 21st St #16714, Sacramento, CA 95811, USA.

Third-party services that you access separately, including Stripe Checkout and external social-media websites, have their own privacy practices.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect information appropriate to the service or interaction you choose. Not every category applies to every visitor.

Event media Photographs, videos or testimonials from tastings and events when appropriately collected Document events and, where separately authorized, publish event materials

We obtain information directly from you, automatically from your interaction with our website, from Stripe in relation to payments, or from people appropriately involved in coordinating a requested delivery. Some related records may be linked when necessary to resolve a request, administer an order, or protect the website.

Please do not provide another person's personal contact information without permission or enter unnecessary sensitive information in free-text fields. If you choose to mention dietary restrictions or allergies, we use that information only to address the particular request; this does not constitute a guarantee that a product is safe for a specific allergy.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to inquiries and office or building suggestions;
  • process reservations, orders, payments, refunds, subscriptions and deliveries;
  • provide account access, confirmations, delivery and service updates, and customer support;
  • evaluate demand for proposed locations and improve products and operations;
  • analyze QR-campaign performance using our own website's event and attribution mechanisms;
  • maintain records required for tax, accounting, disputes, safety and compliance; and
  • secure the website, investigate incidents, and prevent spam, duplicate requests and other abuse.

We do not currently operate a general promotional email or newsletter program. We may contact you about the specific request you submitted or a transaction or service relationship you initiated. We do not treat submitting an inquiry, scanning a QR code, or placing an order as permission to send unrelated advertising, promotional campaigns, or newsletters. If we introduce promotional email in the future, we will update our practices and notices and provide legally required choices and unsubscribe methods before sending such messages.

An office-interest or location-suggestion submission is not an order, does not authorize a charge, and does not guarantee a start date or delivery. Any regular delivery arrangement is subject to separate feasibility review and agreement. Delivery to one office does not automatically make that office a pickup or distribution point for other offices.

4. Payments, orders and subscriptions

When online payments are available, payments are handled through Stripe Checkout. Payment-card details are entered through Stripe's checkout service, rather than Savelaine's own reservation form. Savelaine receives information needed to confirm and administer the transaction, such as payment status, amount and transaction references; Stripe may independently collect and process information under its privacy policy.

Order, subscription, payment, refund, cancellation and delivery terms are provided separately in the applicable order flow or terms. This Privacy Notice does not authorize charges or establish subscription terms.

5. Cookies, QR links, and browser signals

Our site uses essential cookies or similar technologies for functions such as sessions, security, and remembering privacy choices. Where offered, optional first-party analytics or attribution cookies are controlled by your choice through our Cookie Policy. If you allow optional first-party attribution, the attribution cookie may remain for up to 30 days.

QR scan events are distinct from optional cookies. When you follow a Savelaine QR link, our server may record a scan event, including the campaign or QR identifier, time, referring page, browser/user-agent information, and an IP-derived identifier. A limited server-side event may still be logged when you select Essential only. Choosing Essential only prevents optional attribution cookies; it does not prevent necessary security logs or erase events previously collected. We use campaign information to evaluate our own outreach, not for advertising-network remarketing.

Savelaine does not install Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or Google Ads Remarketing to track visitors for personalized advertising on other websites. We do not intentionally allow third-party advertising networks to collect visitors' activities across unrelated websites through those tools. External links and independently operated third-party pages, including Stripe Checkout, may involve separate processing by those providers.

We do not operate a separate site-wide mechanism triggered by the browser's Do Not Track (DNT) signal. Instead, the cookie preference controls available through our Cookie Policy govern optional first-party attribution, while necessary website and security processing may continue. Global Privacy Control (GPC) is different from DNT; because Savelaine does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, it does not currently offer a sale/sharing opt-out. If our activities change, we will implement any opt-out or signal handling that applicable law requires.

6. When we disclose information

We disclose personal information only as reasonably needed for these purposes:

  • Stripe, our payment processor, for checkout, transaction processing and related functions;
  • hosting and infrastructure providers supporting the server on which we operate the website, only to the extent needed for infrastructure services;
  • authorized Savelaine personnel and the designated contacts needed to coordinate a delivery you requested;
  • professional advisers or government authorities when necessary for legal, tax, compliance or safety requirements; and
  • a lawful successor in connection with an actual business transfer, subject to applicable requirements.

The website and email systems are operated by Savelaine; we do not currently use an external CRM, analytics network or email-marketing platform as part of the described website operation. A form submission does not automatically cause disclosure of the submitter's contact details to Maker Nexus, a proposed office, or another unrelated organization.

We do not publish customer contact details or use them as a directory of office participants.

7. No sale or sharing for targeted advertising

Savelaine does not sell personal information or share it with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in California privacy law. We do not use Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or Google Ads Remarketing. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children.

If this policy changes, we will revise this Notice and implement any required choices or opt-out controls before beginning the new activity.

8. How long we retain information

Our retention policy sets the following periods or criteria for different categories of records. Longer retention may be necessary to meet legal requirements, fulfill an active service, resolve disputes, investigate a documented security incident, or comply with a lawful preservation requirement. These periods do not require us to retain information that is no longer necessary for the stated purpose.

Record category Retention rule
Office-interest forms, suggested locations, general inquiries Up to 12 months after the last relevant interaction
Transactional order, payment and required accounting/tax records Up to 7 years after the final relevant transaction, or longer where law requires; unnecessary payment-card details are not stored by Savelaine
Support conversations, non-financial service follow-up and unpublished feedback Up to 24 months after case closure or last relevant interaction
Personal QR-scan and attribution events Up to 90 days after collection; de-identified aggregate statistics may be retained longer
Ordinary website access, diagnostic and security logs Normally up to 30 days; incident-specific records may be preserved for a documented investigation
Short-term anti-abuse attempt records Up to 48 hours, unless needed for a documented security incident
Privacy and cookie-choice evidence As necessary to document the underlying interaction or legally required compliance; tied to the applicable record and documented retention controls
Protected backups Until the relevant backup expires under our backup rotation and recovery procedures; backup copies are not used for routine business processing

Records needed to administer an active account, subscription, pending delivery, refund, or unresolved dispute may be kept for that purpose. At the end of the applicable retention period, our policy is to delete or de-identify information that is no longer required, subject to the exceptions described above. Data may remain temporarily in protected backups until their normal expiration and will not be restored for ordinary business use after an approved deletion without reapplying the deletion.

9. Privacy requests and choices

You may email hello@savelaine.com or write to the address in Section 1 to ask us to access, obtain a copy of, correct, or delete information associated with you. Where available, you may also review or update certain account information using the account features provided by the website. Please explain which request, order, account or email address it relates to; do not send passwords or payment-card details. We may reasonably verify a request and may retain records when required for accounting, law, fraud prevention, or a genuine outstanding dispute. We will respond within any applicable legal deadlines.

You can change your optional cookie preference using our Cookie Policy. Changes affect subsequent optional cookie use but do not by themselves remove information already held in orders or server logs; you may request deletion separately.

California residents: If the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) applies to a particular operation, additional rights may include access, correction, deletion, limits on certain sensitive-information uses, and protections against discrimination or retaliation, subject to applicable exceptions. We will honor rights applicable to us and explain any permitted limitation. Whether a specific CCPA obligation applies depends on the legal coverage requirements; we do not claim that every CCPA provision applies to Savelaine solely because the website serves California residents.

10. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to restrict unauthorized access, protect transactions and records, and prevent abuse. Access is limited to people with a legitimate operational need. No internet service or data-storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Children's privacy

Our informational website may be viewed by people of any age. However, you must be at least 18 years old to place an order or create a customer account with Savelaine. Our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not require visitors to provide their date of birth merely to browse the website. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact hello@savelaine.com so we can review the circumstances and take appropriate action, including deletion where appropriate.

12. Tastings, event photos and social media

Savelaine may photograph or film events and tastings. When an identifiable person's image, name, voice or testimonial is used in a manner requiring permission, we seek separate authorization for that use. Acceptance of this Privacy Notice does not itself authorize publication of anyone's image in promotional materials.

If you interact with Savelaine through a social-media platform such as LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram, that platform's independent privacy policy also applies to your use of its service.

13. Where data may be processed

Savelaine is based in the United States and operates its website through its server infrastructure. Stripe and relevant infrastructure providers may process information in other locations under their applicable contractual and legal arrangements. We do not represent that all information is stored exclusively in California or the United States.

14. Updates to this Notice

We may change this Notice as our operations, technology, or legal requirements change. The current notice will display its effective date and version. For material changes, we will provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by law. Where we record acknowledgement of a specific notice version, we preserve the version reference needed to interpret that acknowledgement.
